3rd April 2005 - Woomera - Roxby Downs - Andamooka, South Australia

Andamooka is accessed by turning off the Stuart Highway at Pimba and heading towards Roxby Downs & then out to Andamooka. The road is sealed all the way and the trip is well worth while. There is bush camping available at Roxby Downs and at Andamooka where the Progress Association administers the camping ground. Fees are payable at the Mobil Garage. When travelling out to this area, call into Woomera and take some time to visit some of the displays on show near the information centre. Camping is prohibited in Woomera other than at the caravan park. Roxby Downs is well worth a visit and we found that fuel was a lot cheaper at the Service Station on the road to the mine than it was at Pimba.
