1st December 2007 - Moorook Reserve - Moorook, South Australia

Between Loxton and Waikerie along the Loxton Road at Moorook is a beautiful park beside the Murray River where campers are welcome. For $7.00 a night, power BBQ’s and spotless toilets are there for all to enjoy. Opposite a general store and adjacent to the local Bowling and Sports Club (meals are available). This reasonably level camping area has it all. A boat ramp, swimming, fishing, shelter sheds and plenty of shade. A caretaker patrols the site and collects the fees each morning. A limit of 30 days is enforced on those who abuse the camping area. We highly recommend this spot for a short or long stay.
