16th December 2007 - Bolto Reserve, Mannum, South Australia

Access to Bolto Reserve is gained by crossing the Murray River at Mannum and turning south along Khartoum Road on the East side of the River. This free camping area has plenty of shady level sites, some with access to small beaches. Tapped river water is available at the septic toilet block and as the site is at the end of a road there is no traffic noise. The ferry runs non stop and a walk to town takes between 10 & 15 minutes. Popular at weekends, we found we had little company during the week. We highly recommend this spot for a few days stopover.

Another campsite is reached by turning left off the ferry and has toilets and level sites. However, it is adjacent to the highway and is noisy
