A visit to the Lady Nelson Replica at the Information Centre at Mount Gambier is the first stop when touring Mt. Gambier, the city of craters, lakes, caves and sinkholes. The Cave Gardens are in the centre of town and are worth a visit. The Umpherston Sinkhole is east of the city centre and a site has been dedicated to these gardens. Travelling from Mt. Gambier towards Port MacDonnell, the road takes you past the Blue Lake. Take the time to stop and have a good look at this wonder of nature. A loop road takes you around the rim of the lake and back onto the road to Port MacDonnell. About half-way between Mt. Gambier and Port MacDonnell are the turn-offs to Little Blue Lake (on the RHS) and Mount Schank (on the LHS). Both sites allow overnight camping. Enjoy
