9th February 2011 - Haslam – Eyre Peninsula – South Australia

Haslam Caravan Park, located 2k West of the Flinders Highway 39k South of Smoky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, is an idyllic location right near a jetty that is excellent for fishing and catching the occasional squid. This thriving metropolis has a Post Office which is open only a couple of hours a week. No other shops are at this locality, so provisions for 10 days (Maximum Stay) are recommended. The local Progress Association operates an honor system and for $5.00 per day, you have the use a level graveled site, some with shade, toilets, tank water, and BBQ facilities. Due to abuse, no power is available and the limited sites are often all taken due to overstayers during the holiday season. Check when you arrive and you may be lucky enough to find a site
