11th December 2007 - Cadell Oval Camping Facilities - Waikerie District - South Australia

Between the Murray River Towns of Waikerie and Morgan is the village of Cadell. Just 10 minutes walk from town, Cadell Camping Facilities are one of the cleanest we have during our travels. John, the Caretaker, Phone 0434300451, keeps the area spotless and is a wealth of information regarding the 1956 floods, the height of which can be seen by the red marks on the goal posts, and the local history. For $10.00 per night (Powered) and $5.00 for un-powered, we were made more than welcome during our stay. Further on towards the ferry crossing is a picnic area that has excellent facilities including a boat ramp, and camping is allowed away from the grassed area.
