1st February 2008 - Kingston SE - Limestone Coast, South Australia

Around 1600 people enjoy a relaxed lifestyle at Kingston SE which is located on Lacepede Bay about 155k North West of Mt. Gambier. The caravan park fronts onto the bay but unfortunately, it has no competition and leaves a lot to be desired. The foreshore park is a large expanse of well groomed lawn and the jetty extends well into Lacepede Bay. The lighthouse was originally located at Cape Jaffa but was re-located to its present position at Kingston in 1976. The Commercial activity centres around lobster and fishing industry, farming, radiate pine production and a flourishing wine industry. On the northern entrance to town on the main highway is “Larry the Lobster” and the compulsory photograph is recommended.
