4th February 2008 - Wrights Bay - South Australia

Approximately 20k South of Kingston SE and 19k North of Robe is the turn off to Wrights Bay along Wrights Bay Road which is 5k of well formed dirt road. At the end of the road is a large private camping area with long drop toilets, tank water, shade and well grassed sites. Although the beach may not look inviting, (Photos taken at low tide), the months of October to May are best for Flathead, Snapper and King George Whiting. A broken reef runs adjacent to the beach, from 10 to 100 metres off shore so be prepared to lose a bit of gear. No shopping facilities exist in this isolated spot so be prepared with supplies if considering an extended stay at this spot.
